How I Achieved Maximum Success with Churches

How the Christian Church Started Christianity is one of the largest religions in terms of believers in the world. The largest population of Christians are in North America, Australia, and Europe with also Asia and Africa having significant number of followers. Christianity adopted some of its practices from the religion practiced by the Jews over 2000 years ago. Christians believe in one God and rely on the bible for moral and spiritual guidance. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and has the power to forgive sins. Jesus Christ lived over 2000 years ago and was known for his holy life. When Jesus was on earth, he preached the word of God to the Jews and gentiles. Jesus was also known for forgiving sins and performing miracles. Some of the notable miracles that Jesus performed include changing water into wine, healing the sick, feeding 5000 people with a few loaves of bread, and walking on water. However, the Pharisees and scribes at the time did not want Jesus questioning their authority and conspired to have him arrested. When arrested, Jesus was put on trial for claiming to be God’s son. The authorities found Jesus guilty of blasphemy and had him crucified on the cross. Jesus died on the cross but rose from the dead in three days. He appeared to some of his disciples a few times after his resurrection and eventually ascended to heaven.
A Brief History of Resources
Jesus asked his disciples to preach the word of God to the whole world before ascending to heaven. The disciples therefore had to move from Israel and go to places like Asia to preach the Gospel. The disciples of Jesus were first referred to as Christians in Antioch, an ancient city in Turkey. The disciples faced persecution from pagan emperors and resistance from already established religions in the areas they took the message of Christianity.
Finding Similarities Between Religions and Life
However, Christianity finally gained foot in Western Europe and would eventually go to become the dominant religion in the world. In modern time, Europeans took the Gospel wherever they went to discover new lands. For instance, they took the Gospel to North America, Africa and Asia. Christianity has been the dominant religion in the world for many years now. There are a number of factors that contributed to the spread of Christianity. For example, when the printing press was invented, many copies of the bible were printed and distributed to believers to read on their own. Moreover, the missionaries working in different countries also helped to translate the bible to local languages of the people in those areas. The above in an overview of how the Church started and spread throughout the world.
